Success!

Never before have I been successful at growing zucchini. I know. Who could suck at growing something that most every home gardener ends up giving away? Me. That's who. This season is different. These Black Beauty zucchinis were planted from seed and really took off as the heat turned up.
I may regret being a successful zucchini farmer, but that's the risk I'm willing to take.

You've heard the old joke: "When is the only time doors are locked in the countryside. When it's zucchini season and people are desperately trying to give away their excess crop to neighbors."

Yes, you are going to regret it. In the words of my British husband: "Zucchini is a silly vegetable."

LOL! ok I have a lot of questions. The zucchini seem to be doing great in my garden. That and the bush beans are the only things i started from seed i can say that about!

How many plants did you plant? (I have three)
How long until you got a flower? (I planted about a month ago, maybe a few days more than that)
I found a site which said you get about fifteen leaves before a flower - did you find that to be true?
