Quiz – Name That Plant

I did my evening tour of the garden and snapped a few pictures of the various leaves that are vigorously growing there.  There is pruning that needs to be done; but I’m pooped from making salsa this afternoon.  Some of the plants were hit with a few sprinkles last night from a freak occurrence of clouds in July.  This disturbed some of the dust.

See if you can name the plant.  Answers will be provided at the end.  No.  The only prize is the eternal satisfaction you will have in knowing you’re danged brilliant.

Here we go.

Surprisingly, I did pretty well. Which doesn't mean I know anything. The more I garden, the more I realize I don't know. Luckily, I just seem to have the perfect mix of climate and natural pest control from birds, bees and insects. Because I'm not doing nearly all the things I should be doing and so far everything's growing.

Hi Maybelline!
Sorry, but I can't really explain about the blotanical button. Not very tech savvy, & do not recall how I did it ;-0
Thanks for stopping by Bay Area Tendrils! Cheers

I did terrible naming the plants and think I got like only two right. Great photos though. That first plant I just knew was a heuchera. Sigh.

OK - I got the grape, the strawberry, the tomato and the bean.

The luffa I knew it was some curcubit. Watermelon totally threw me for a loop - I thought it was some kind of kale.

Fig - hey - that's not fair, you showed it in profile, not full face!

Maybelline, this was fun! Thanks for the pics and challenge. BTW, your tomatoes and garlic look fabulous. I'm planting garlic for the first time this fall. I hope mine does as well as yours. : ) Melissa
