Don’t forget to irrigate…especially when it’s July…especially when it’s super hot.
The wilted pumpkins perked up 1/2 hour after the application of a nice drink of water. I don’t recommend irrigating in the evening but when you overlook it in the morning you have to gamble with the fungus and disease that may occur and water in the evening. I suppose I should rely on the timers. They won’t forget.

What a great different between these two pictures. The wonder what a little water can do to save a plant.
Sigh. I'd irrigate more if we could get more heat. It's been unusually cold and foggy on the coastal areas this year. Part of the reason none of our summer crops are doing as well as they are down in Bakersfield.
Oh, the heat. Sometimes I wilt before the plants... then it's time for everybody to fend for themselves! ; ) Melissa
After some summer heat -- it's really cooled off again up north. We could plant lettuce and radishes in July and get away with it. SHEESH!
