Lilac Perfume

DSC_2549_6133

Lilac is finally perfuming the garden.  The flowers have a more purple/lilac cast to them; but this is how the camera recorded things today.  Just wanted to record the lilac progress in my garden journal for future reference.  When a scent drive is invented, I’ll come back and apply the treatment to this post.  Wow.  It smells terrific.

Anyone remember Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific?

Does anything smell as good as lilacs on the breeze? I have two huge bushes in my yard and just love them. I always hope each spring that a late frost does not destroy the blooms.
I remember Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific and use to use it all of the time.LOL!

Drats! I wish you had 'scent-a-vision' on this blog of yours! Well .. the beauty of your lilacs will just have to satisfy me for now. I live not far from Spokane .. and that city is known as The Lilac City ... can't wait for bloomsday!

Oh my. I can't grow these here.

I miss my Seattle lilacs.

What I do have is wisteria, heavenly right now.
